The Honeymoon Phase

This means that with a few meaningful changes to your mindset and habits, you can put an end to overwhelm and prevent burnout.

Being in the Honeymoon Phase means you’re feeling a little overwhelmed because you’re juggling corporate leadership or running your own business and deadlines, responsibilities, relationships, mom duties and so much more.

You likely enjoy the rush of being busy all the time, but sometimes you might find yourself struggling to stay on top of everything.

If things get particularly tough, you experience a peak of stress, but it quickly disappears once the situation settles or you take a break.

Being in the Honeymoon Phase truly means you have the opportunity to learn how to manage these stressful moments and create better work-life balance so you can keep achieving your goals without burning out.

You Are…

Strong

Determined

Resilient

What’s Holding you Back?

Right now you’re doing so much because you’re hungry for the next achievement and all the praise that comes with it. This means that your validation is so attached to others that you can’t see that being busy and chasing work so obsessively will drastically disrupt your work-life balance and - eventually - lead to burnout.

How to Break Free?

Boundaries are your gateway to freedom!

I know you probably wish for more hours in a day or for those deadlines to go by as quickly as possible so you can rest… but since there’s no magic spell to make that happen, the next best thing is to put boundaries in place.

By creating stronger boundaries both at home and at work, you will quickly find yourself regaining balance, time, and energy to keep performing at your best - all while preventing overwhelm and stress.

Your Balanced Leader Pathway

Focus on:

  • Saying “no”

  • Setting boundaries at home and at work

  • Regularly acknowledging and appreciating your own achievements so you can strengthen your self-worth and resilience without relying on external praise.

To manage stress you can:

  • Learn how your body responds to stress (e.g., headaches, exhaustion, anxiety, appetite shifts, etc) so you can recognize when you’re pushing yourself too far

  • Commit to foundational self-care by prioritizing sleep, keeping hydrated, exercising and eating healthy

  • Remove your work email from your personal devices and make sure not to check notifications after working hours or on the weekends

Your Recharge Ritual.

Find a Mindful Moment every single day

In the Honeymoon Phase, mindfulness can help keep stress in check and give you a few minutes to recharge. Here are 3 mindfulness moments that are easy to implement in your busy life:

  • Start a gratitude practice by listing out three things you’re grateful for every day. This helps you maintain a more positive perspective, especially when you’re dealing with tough challenges.

  • Use breathwork or meditation to reset, improve focus and re-center. There are many apps (Calm, Headspace) that can guide you through meditations and some of them will require as little as 3 to 5 minutes of your time.

  • Have a No Tech Zone in your home. If you’re often tempted to check notifications or squeeze in quick email replies when you’re not working, ditch your phone for a few hours so your friends and family can have your undivided attention. You’ll all feel more connected.
