Your quiz results say that you’re in…
The Crisis Navigator
This means that stress is a constant companion for you and that it’s time to do something about it, before it turns into burnout.
As a Crisis Navigator you’re feeling more and more stressed, every day - and no matter what you try, nothing seems to alleviate the feeling.
When you look at your work, you know this is affecting your leadership, and when you look at your private life, you feel disconnected from your loved ones.
You might be feeling anxious, tired and like you can’t recognize yourself.
You probably know by now that you are standing at the crossroad and unless you start putting stronger boundaries in place and asking for help and support, burnout will rear its ugly head and take over your life.
You Are…
Strong
Determined
Resilient
Right now you’re feeling…
Your work responsibilities are overwhelming, work doesn’t excite you or energize you anymore - and that’s affecting both your professional and personal life. You’re starting to feel disconnected from your loved ones and you seem to be more tired and forgetful. Something is clearly off at the moment, but rather than interpreting this situation as an issue to be addressed, you keep telling yourself “this is what I signed up for” or that you just need “a self-care day and all will be fine”
How to Break Free?
Setting stronger boundaries and reassessing your core values is your gateway to freedom!
I know you probably wish that stress would just go away and that you woke up tomorrow feeling like yourself again…but since there’s no magic spell to make that happen, the next best thing is to set strong boundaries and learn to regulate your nervous system. This will allow you to find some relief from stress, be productive and to feel in control of your time and energy both at work and at home.
Your Balanced Leader Pathway
Focus on:
Regulating your nervous system
Setting boundaries and saying “no”
Reassessing your core values
To prevent burnout you can:
Take a break from work - not a vacation, but some actual off to rest, nourish, regulate, breath, and just be. You can check into the FMLA requirements at your organization as you may be able to use FMLA benefits to take time off and start your recovery process
Schedule an appointment with your medical provider to get a physical exam, bloodwork and a hormone panel to get a baseline and rule out any medical conditions. It’s important to understand what is physiologically happening in your body, so you can make a plan of action as needed
Complete a full calendar audit: review your personal and professional calendars and eliminate anything that is not absolutely necessary. You can also reduce 60-minute meetings to 45 minutes, make all meetings recurring rather than one-offs, and where possible, you can make meetings less frequent eg. opting for bi-weekly meetings rather than weekly ones.

Put a Sanity Saver in place
As a Crisis Navigator, having a sanity saver in place is key as it will allow you to have a break from the mounting pressure you feel every day. Here are 3 quick sanity savers you can easily implement in your routine:
Take 30 seconds to forgive yourself on those bad days when you feel you’re screwing up. You’re not perfect. You can’t be everything to everyone. You’re not a failure - you’re human. So try to be kind and compassionate to yourself.
Schedule some alone time every day, even if it’s just 5 minutes. When you’re so stressed all the time, it’s important to give your mind and emotions a break and by being alone you allow yourself the space to be, feel, and find a moment of relief.
Ask for what you need. Your plate is full as it is, so don’t try to do it all! Take a look at your day and ask yourself, “what can I delegate today?”, “what do I need to feel less stressed?”, “who can support me?” This will help you ask for what you really need and lighten your burden..
